Alumni Association Office

The Association of Ain Shams College of Medicine Alumni association was established by a decision of the College Council held on 9/30/2012, emanating from the Community Affairs and Environmental Service Sector, and obtained the approval of the Ain Shams University Council on 3/6/2014. With the decision to allocate a headquarters for the association in the first floor below the library

The association seeks to build a bridge between the college and its graduates to achieve a strong connection between them.

  1. Communicate with experts and researchers from the college graduates, whether outside or inside the country, to support the college with scientific and financial capabilities
  2. Holding seminars and scientific conferences to exchange experiences among graduates, especially between the oldest and the newest
  3. Organizing cultural seminars and recreational trips to develop social ties between different batches of college graduates
  4. Helping graduates to improve and develop their expertise by organizing training programs
  5. Working on finding suitable job opportunities for graduates with the help of colleagues inside or outside the country

With the grace of God Almighty, some of these goals have been achieved such as

  1. Designing a website on the college’s website for the association that allows the graduate to write and update his data in order to create a database for college graduates

http://med.asu.edu.eg/app/

  1. Announcing job opportunities for young graduates by sending the required data to their e-mail
  2. Organizing training courses for recent graduates, whether courses for Continuing Medical Education (CME) in cooperation with the General Syndicate of Physicians for a period of two weeks for a year, or courses to improve their personal abilities (SOFT SKILLS) in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Institute DAAD
  3. Organizing the college’s annual ceremony for three consecutive years, in which pioneering professors and students who obtained a doctorate, master’s or bachelor’s degree are honored.

The association considered that it is our duty as college graduates to return some of the favor to our mother college, so it submitted to the college council held on 20/12/2015 with a proposal regarding setting fees for participation in the association at 200 Egyptian pounds for graduates of more than ten years and 100 Egyptian pounds for graduates less For ten years, they are paid annually, similar to all international universities, provided that the value of these contributions is directed to a separate account in the college treasury to spend on development projects in the college such as the Medical Research Center and the Training Center or for spending on infrastructure, maintenance of facilities, and improvement of gardens in the college. The proposal was approved.

Accordingly, contributions are paid to the college treasury under the account of the alumni association after receiving the payment permission from the office of the alumni association or paying directly to Professor Hassan Saad, secretary of the association, and then receiving the payment receipt after a period with the membership card.

Vision: Extending a bridge between the college and its graduates, achieving a strong connection between them

Mission: The association sought to develop links between graduates and work to increase the alumni’s loyalty to the college by providing the necessary programs to prepare graduates for the labor market and providing assistance in finding suitable job opportunities.
