The Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University welcomes you to join our student exchange program. The ASU Med student exchange program is an undergraduate student mobility program to and from ASU School of medicine and ASU hospitals which aims at creating a constructive circulation and exchange of ideas, experiences and cultures, bridging the gap between our future doctors and the rest of the world to reach better healthcare for all patients worldwide.
Incoming Electives:

ASU is also proud to be part of the
- VSLO (visiting student learning opportunities) network, created by the Association of American Medical colleges.
- GEMx (Global Educational exchange in medicine and health professions) network created by the ECFMG ( the educational commission for foreign medical graduates).

- ASU is also proud to be affiliated with the Brazilian Rotary Club in Curitiba, Brazil. In this special program, our school hosts several Brazilian medical students with accommodation each year for free. If you are Brazilian, and you wish to apply to this program please contact the Curitiba Rotary Club.

Please make sure to include:
- Your name
- Your home institution
- Which school year you’re currently enrolled in out of how many total years required for graduation?
- A copy of your passport.
- A signed official document from your home institution stating that you’re fluent in English and/ or Arabic and that all your medical education has been conducted in English.
- Your preferences regarding which department you’d like to spend your training at.
- Your preferences regarding how long you’d like your training to be.
Outgoing Electives:
If you are a student of ASU faculty of Medicine, and you wish to spend some training time abroad, you may apply through
