“Clinical Toxicology: Current Challenges & Applications”

UNDP, Hall 2, On Monday 5th of January 2026, 09:00 am-1:00 pm

We are pleased to share that our department recently hosted a Scientific Day dedicated to Introduction to the Clinical Toxicology Laboratory, with a special focus on the emerging challenges posed by synthetic cannabinoids. This event aims to highlight the fundamental principles of clinical toxicology testing, laboratory workflows, and quality standards, while addressing the growing complexity of detecting and interpreting novel psychoactive substances. Synthetic cannabinoids present significant analytical, clinical, and regulatory challenges due to their rapid structural evolution, high potency, and limitations of conventional screening methods. The Lecture was attended by a diverse group of professionals and academics, including laboratory technicians, chemists, assistant lecturers, assistant professors, and professors.
