Professor of neurology since 2010. The founder of sleep medicine laboratory at the neurology department, Ain shams university hospitals, since 1996. Charing supervisor of neurophysiology unit education (including digital EEG, EMG and nerve conduction, evoked potential studies, and polysomnography sections) at neurology department in Ain Shams university hospitals. A member of the Egyptian Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery, since 1995. A member of Egyptian Society of Psychiatry, since 1995. A member of American the Clinical Neurophysiology Society, (ACNS), since 1996. A member of the American Sleep Association, (ASA), since 1996. Worked as a director of neurology unit in Ain shams specialized hospitals, in 2006, 2008, 2010, director of neurology unit in Ain shams university hospitals, in 2011, and director of neuro-critical unit in Ain shams specialized hospitals in 2012. She is working as a consultant of neurology at the outpatient clinics in Ain shams specialized hospitals since 2001 till now.

Teaching students of undergraduate and post graduate grades, in the fields of interest, in neurology department Ain shams university, through lectures, clinical rounds and weekly conference.
Supervision of master and doctorate degree candidates at the neurology department and several medical and pediatric departments.
Reporting long term and conventional digital EEG, video EEG monitoring for assessment of cases pre-surgically.
Reporting sleep laboratory studies. Practicing and reporting nerve conduction electromyographic studies, and evoked potential studies.
Special interest in epilepsy; as a member of ” the epilepsy and sleep disorders” subunit at the neurology department, Ain shams university
