Community Participation:<\/p>\n

\u2022 2010 – A campaign for early detection of hypertension among medical students<\/p>\n

– Health education for students about heart disease, obesity, and healthy food<\/p>\n

– Providing samples of healthy food to students and college employees, accompanied by the nutritional value and calories of the meals.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2011 – a campaign for early detection of chronic diseases among the residents of Al-Waily district<\/p>\n

– The campaign included more than 2000 people, and many chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes were diagnosed<\/p>\n

– Publication of an international research to show results for early detection of hypertension, and it was published in a British journal affiliated with the Royal College of Public Health.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2013-2016 the partnership with the Ministry of Health to eliminate lymph filariasis in the Country<\/p>\n

– Collaboration between the higher committee for combating filariasis and the department of malaria control and malaria at the Ministry of health.<\/p>\n

– Evaluating the various activities of the Ministry and eliminating foci of disease and epidemiological surveillance after providing mass treatment.<\/p>\n

– Conducting a survey to detect disease in primary school students in endemic villages.<\/p>\n

– 2016, assistance in the work of the national file to prove the elimination of lymph filaria disease, to be submitted to the World Health Organization<\/p>\n

– 2018, Receive the international certificate from the World Health Organization, which proves that Egypt is free from filaria or elephantiasis<\/p>\n

– 2017-2018, Participation in teaching of endemic diseases and introducing endemic diseases to health service providers in African countries through courses provided by the Faculty of Medicine, defining and demonstrating the Egyptian experience in combating and eliminating lymph filaria disease so that the countries where the disease<\/p>\n

is endemic can work with the Egyptian plan and follow the approach used to eliminate the disease.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2016-2019 Epidemiological surveillance campaign to eliminate schistosomiasis in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate<\/p>\n

– Introducing a new 5T surveillance system and evaluating surveillance in detecting cases associated with schistosomiasis patients to provide treatment and assistance to the National Program for Fighting Schistosomiasis<\/p>\n

– The surveillance system was introduced in three centers in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2015- Campaign for early detection of diabetes and hypertension and identification of metabolic syndrome among those visiting early detection clinics<\/p>\n

– Identify many cases of metabolic syndrome and referral to take treatment and provide health education to treat disease.<\/p>\n

– Publication of international research to publicize the campaign and its findings about the prevalence of metabolic syndrome.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2017- Health education campaign about obesity and its associated diseases for Egyptians through the Holy Quran broadcasting (the Family and Community Program)<\/p>\n

Five radio interviews about obesity in young children, causes of obesity, suggested solutions to avoid obesity, wrong eating habits and correcting these habits.<\/p>\n
